Beverly Hills - Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden, who are said to have gotten engaged a few days before Christmas, tied the knot on Monday night in a private ceremony at Diaz's Beverly Hills home. 

The impromptu wedding took place with only a few guests in attendance, E Online reports. 

Diaz's old friend Drew Barrymore and Madden's sister in law Nicole Richie are said to have served as bridesmaids. 

Diaz, 42, and Madden, 35, unofficially came out with their relationship in May 2014 when they were seen hanging out hand in hand and being affectionate with each other during a coffee date.


After being introduced by Nicole Richie, who is married to Madden's brother, the two are said to have hit it off instantly.

Diaz has never been married before nor does the actress have children despite having had long term relationships with a few high profile celebs like Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto and Matt Damon.

Madden also does not have children, the rocker has however been engaged before to Australian singer/songwriter Sophie Monk, the two officially split in 2008 after a 15 month long relationship.
