Delta State University Student Plans Her Own Kidnap, Demands N10 Million From Parents



A 25-year-old student of Mass Communication from the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Belynda Chinwe Bosa, had been arrested for conniving with her boyfriend,George Itietie who is also a student at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu to plan her own kidnap and demanded a ransom of  N10 million from her parents in Port Harcourt.
It was learnt that following a plea from the parents, the two partners in crime had reduced the amount to N5 Million.

According to New Telegraph reports, the parents already paid N500,000 into the supposed kidnapper’s account and they both went to a hotel at Oyiobo axis of Port- Harcourt, Rivers State before luck ran out on them.
The Delta state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Celetina Kalu, while parading the suspects on Monday, January 12, 2015 disclosed that the the suspects were using one America Sunday Ogagawotu as the anchorman to communicate with the girl’s mother on her fake abduction.
She said, “Investigation into the incident revealed that the suspect (Bosa), on leaving Lagos, went to her boyfriend, one George Itietie, in Port Harcourt where she, the said Itietie (boyfriend) and Ogagawotu (anchor-man) planned to inform her parents that she was kidnapped.”
Kalu further disclosed that the aim of the lovers was just to extort money from her parents.
“America got N100,000 as her own share from the ransom,”she said.
Feeling sorry for making her parents go through the stress, Bosa said, “I am sorry for the stress I made my parents to go through.
