The supervising Minister of Education Has not Resigned, Says Nwakaudu

Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the supervising Minister of Education on Media, said on Monday that minister had not resigned from his appointment.


Nwakaudu stated this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

“The report being circulated online to the effect that he has resigned is false in its entirety.

“It is planted report by mischief makers,” the statement said.

According to the statement, the minister represented the President at the 43rd Convocation of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka held on Saturday.

It also noted that Wike was in his office at the Federal Ministry of Education to attend to official functions in the ministry and “will be performing the ground breaking ceremony for the Special Vocational School in Delta State”.

In addition, it stated that Wike would hold a town hall meeting for federal universities, polytechnics and colleges of education in the North East at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi next. (NAN)
