Suspect members of the Boko Haram sect on Monday night, April 14, 2014 attacked and abducted at least 200 girls from a school in Borno state, according to parents.
According to reports by BBC, gunmen reportedly arrived at the school in Chibok, Borno state, late last night, and ordered the hostel’s teenage residents on to four lorries.
This abduction comes after insurgents planted a bomb in a crowded park in Nyanya district of Abuja yesterday leaving 71 dead and 124 with injuries.
Parents told the BBC’s Hausa service about the attacks on the school in Chibok stating that not less than 200 girls were abducted.
Speaking after the latest attack, a student, who did not wish to be named, told the BBC that she had escaped after seeing her classmates jumping out of the back of a lorry.
