Six Wedding Guests Die In Kano After Taking Local Intoxicant
KANO – Six persons attending a wedding have reportedly met their death after taking a locally-brewed intoxicant during the party.
The unfortunate incident happened on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at about 10:30pm, according to sources.

It was gathered that the deceased persons, all male, were between the ages of 20 and 22, collapsed after drinking thesubstance. They were rushed to the hospital, but reportedly died on the way.
Kano State Police Command spokesman, Musa Magaji Majia, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), reportedly confirmed the incident, saying: “The police have since commenced investigation into the matter with a view to finding out the cause of the incident.”
“On receiving the report, we invited the groom and he is currently assisting us in our investigation. But I cannot confirm the number of the dead until we finish our investigation.”
