Neymar's salary is Barcelona's major problem- Cruyff

Former Barcelona coach Johan Cruyff has said that the arrival of Brazil forward Neymar may be causing problem at Camp Nou due to the huge salary he was offered in his contract.

The 22-year-old joined Barca from Santos in the summer of 2013-14 campaign and immediately became one of the Blaugrana's highest-paid players.

Cruyff feels the attacker has yet to prove himself at the highest level, though, and thinks his rivals up front could be unhappy with Neymar's high wages.

"Barcelona's problem is Neymar," Cruyff was quoted as saying by El Mundo Deportivo.

"He is a great player, let there be no doubt about that, but you cannot sign a 21-year-old and pay him more than players who have won it all. Nobody is god at the age of 21.

"Plus Barcelona already have the greatest player in the world [Lionel Messi] and a 21-year-old kid cannot be the key figure. This is impossible in football. At the age of 26, yes, but not at 21."

Neymar has netted seven goals in 21 La Liga appearances so far this term.
